What do you do when a family of four wants to walk to Oswego Lake to fish, boat, and swim? Find a charming 1915 original bungalow to remodel, that’s what! The resulting home surpasses their expectations as it includes an incredibly generous master suite, chef’s kitchen, main floor bonus/tv room, and all of the finishes and features one could hope for. The best part is that the original integrity of the architecture is honored.
Beginning with the foundation work, second floor addition and a reconfigured, open floorplan, the project progressed to window and siding replacement, upgrading the plumbing and electrical installations and was topped off with a new roof. The project included top-of-the-line surfaces and fixtures in each space. Throughout the project, great effort was made to include high impact items at the best possible cost to achieve a balance that met the clients budget. Going forward, the next phase is set to include the garage replacement with an incorporated office space.
How does the family feel now that the project is done? “We can now spend our time enjoying the Lake and our time together as a family without home projects!” Looking back, they are proud to have the perfect home for their lifestyle while honoring the original architecture and history of the home.
