Portland Designer Shannon Ponciano at Ponciano Design and local remodeler Todd Hertner, owner of Rebuild, teamed up to knock out this amazing whole home renovation. She is a top level designer and he is a City of Portland FIR contractor.
We have done a few Tour of Remodeled Home shows, and what separates this home from others, is its age at only 15 years old. The house had no wow factor in a million dollar neighborhood. It was a pleasure to provide what these incredible clients wanted, but even more rewarding to inspire them to go even further. The result? A memorable home with many things you may have never seen before.
This home features very classy finishes and new, innovateive design trends that truly impress.
With Shannon's designs and Todd’s input, the home reflects a collaborative effort that makes it shine without tearing it all down and starting over. There was a line that we approached many times with regard to cost, lead times, and cool factor. We did not cross it, we drove right through it.
We relocated AC units from pool area to opposite side of house for better concealment, enlarged the kitchen window, created a better flow in the kitchen, removed all flooring to install 7” carbon black engineered wood, closed off the see-thru fireplace to create more privacy in the master suite, removed five roman columns, installed custom cabinets, converted all lighting to LED, wired the entire home for audio/data and worked with California Closets in five closets throughout the house.
When you read magazine articles that talk about “amazing design and execution,” this home actually IS that.
