Who
is the Remodelers Council?
The
Remodelers Council is a national award winning
council comprised of Home Builders Association members
who are affiliated or work in the remodeling industry.
Approximately 200 members work together with a goal
of being the one source for both homeowners and industry
professionals. Council members are offered a variety
of ongoing education opportunities to keep them up to
date on the latest technology, products and environmental
issues. Business management issues are also frequently
addressed, which improves customer service.
The
Council has established Oregon's original Tour of Remodeled
Homes™ (2000) and helps to produce Remodel Portland,
the annual magazine devoted to the professional remodeling
industry and the Tour. Council members also actively
participate in both the spring and fall Portland Home
& Garden Show™ and the annual Surplus Sale.
As
a group, the Remodelers Council is generous with
its time and financial support of local charities through
collaboration on the Tour and involvement with ReBuilding
Together (formerly Christmas in April) program. Council
members have given hundreds of hours and thousands of
dollars to support local organizations. Ladies of the
Remodelers Council annually participate in the
Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" to benefit breast
cancer research. The Council also developed a scholarship
program for local young people entering a career in
the building industry.
The
Council has been recognized on the national level for
its energy, commitment to the industry and professional
attitude toward the consumer. The Council Award for
Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADRE) is the highest
national award a local council can receive. The Portland
Remodelers Council has won fourteen of these prestigious
awards in the past eight years. Click

Why
Hire a Professional Remodelers Council Member?
With
a continuing increase in home remodeling projects and
a large population of remodelers available, one of the
most overwhelming tasks facing the homeowner is selecting
the right remodeler.
The
Remodelers Council was designed to raise the
level of professionalism in the home remodeling industry.
Council members are committed to promoting professional
remodeling in the Portland area. Consumer confidence
is strengthened because all Council members are experienced
professionals, dedicated to on-going training, education
and a commitment to ethical conduct.
